Project, a state/tribal youth suicide prevention initiative, to utilize evidence-based practice interventions and treatment strategies, as well as culturally-infused interventions to expand the safety net of suicide prevention and intervention for urban American Indian/Alaska Native youth. Part of the project includes increasing the number of clinical service providers trained to assess, manage, and treat youth at risk for suicide. Over the 5-year grant period, the project plans to expand training and technical assistance to 1000 tribal community members and professionals to identify, manage and treat youth at risk and provide culturally-appropriate behavioral healthcare to 500 at-risk youth.
