Michigan Health Council (MHC) is proud to announce the relaunch of Next Generation Health Careers Academy (NGHCA), a free, user-friendly online resource designed to help Michigan educators and counselors prepare K-12 students for careers in healthcare.
Now live at nghca.org, NGHCA provides worksheets, games, videos, and career guides aimed at inspiring healthcare career awareness, fostering exploration of healthcare careers, and supporting individuals in navigating career pathways. Our resources are a great tool to help educators meet Michigan Career Development Model targets.
This relaunch advances Pillar 1 of the Michigan Healthcare Workforce Plan, which emphasizes the importance of supporting consistent MCDM implementation. With workforce shortages continuing to impact healthcare systems across the state, early engagement with students is more important than ever.
NGHCA is here to make that easier.
