Meet the Board: Angela Celeste May, Ph.D

Dr. Angela Celeste May serves as President of A.M. May & Associates, a counseling, coaching, and consulting company, and is Chair-Elect of the Michigan Health Council Board of Trustees. She recently reflected on what makes serving on the MHC board meaningful, and how it aligns with her professional goals.

“As a psychologist, educator, business owner, and native Michigander, I deeply value serving on the Michigan Health Council Board of Trustees. In this capacity, I lend my voice and ideas to champion programming that strengthens employers and their workforce across multiple sectors and encourage students of all ages to explore careers in these fields. Serving alongside my fellow Board members is an honor as we support a healthier Michigan for all.” 

Dr. May’s expertise brings a unique perspective to Michigan Health Council’s work in ensuring the future of the healthcare workforce. Her leadership across professional, academic, and community initiatives strengthens programs that support students and professionals in exploring and pursuing healthcare careers.
