Michigan Health Council (MHC) is pleased to offer implicit bias training for health care professionals! In the hybrid delivery model, which is available starting today, learners will watch a one-hour video on demand and then attend a one-hour webinar to engage with the instructor and other learners in a robust discussion and group exercises for a total of 2 hours.
Each two-hour training will include an overview on how to recognize implicit bias, an in depth discussion and exercises on the following six topics:
Michigan participants will earn a certificate of completion to meet the requirements for (re)licensure in the state of Michigan R 338.7001.

This course is taught by Kristin Sewell, M.A, a certified trainer in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Kristin has degrees in Sociology and Anthropology and is the Director of Content Production for Michigan Health Council. Kristin was an instructor of anthropology at Michigan State University and is a published author on topics related to identity, identity formation, and identity expression throughout American history.
