It is with heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of this year’s Michigan Nursing Summit, which was planned to take place in Grand Rapids on October 29-30, 2020. Out of concern for public health, and following Governor Whitmer’s plan for reopening the economy, we are taking the cautious position that a large gathering will not be advisable by the date of the event.
While we understand this comes as a disappointment to many of our partners, we are optimistic for next year’s Michigan Nursing Summit, which will be held in Traverse City on October 21-22, 2021. Supporting the health care workforce is an integral part of Michigan Health Council’s mission and we look forward to continuing that work in new ways.
