Description
The NHSC awards scholarships to students pursuing an eligible training or degree program for a primary care health profession. The scholarship program covers tuition for full-time enrollment, eligible fees, an annual payment for reasonable education costs including books, uniforms, travel, etc. , and a monthly stipend to assist with living expenses while in school. With this scholarship comes a full-time service commitment of a minimum of 2 years and maximum of 4 years at an NHSC-approved site in a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA.) The total number of years you serve depends on the number of school years of scholarship support you receive. The application cycle begins in March and ends in early May.
