Description
Three “R”s Nursing Workforce Initiative strengthens Michigan’s healthcare workforce by ensuring nurses are Readily Available, Relevantly Skilled, and Representative of the communities they serve.
Readily Available – They work with healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations to establish local nursing education and employment pipelines that serve both rural and urban regions. These pipelines ensure a steady flow of qualified PN/LPN, ASN/RN, BSN, and MSN-prepared nurses to meet community needs.
Relevantly Skilled – Their partnerships align nursing curricula with real-world clinical demands, using the latest and best technology, so graduates are cognitively, practically, and ethically prepared for the modern care environment. Employer-designed rotations, preceptorships, and mentorship programs are integrated into academic pathways. They also upskill current healthcare employees, creating sustainable internal pipelines that reduce reliance on external recruitment and improve retention rates.
Representative – They recruit nursing students from within the communities they will serve, increasing diversity and cultural alignment. Research shows patients experience better trust, communication, and outcomes when care providers reflect their language, culture, and lived experience.
Nightingale Education Group, of which Nightingale Solutions is a division, is a nationally accredited, for-profit institution of higher education, with online degree programs for PN, ASN, BSN, and MSN levels of nursing.
