Description

Genesee Community Health Center has funding to establish an accredited psychiatry residency program in Flint that integrates public health principles into the residency training. They will create a Graduate Medical Education Consortium that will sponsor the program's accreditation through ACGME. Genesee Health System is partnering with Hurley Medical Center, McLaren Health Care and Michigan State University's Department of Psychiatry and School of Public Health (MSU is leading the residency training program's curriculum). The intent of establishing this public health-training psychiatry residency program is to increase the number of psychiatrists with a background in psychosocial determinants of health in Genesee County.

Michigan Health Council does not administer all of the programs in this database. Please see the "organizations involved" above to learn who you should contact for more information.
