Description
Southeast Michigan Center for Medical Education (SEMCME) is a community-based medical education consortium that develops and supports the training of outstanding physicians and medical professionals in Southeast Michigan for the ultimate goal of enhancing population health. SEMCME members include medical education leaders at 7 Southeast Michigan health systems and their teaching hospitals, as well as 2 medical schools. Some of SEMCME's educational efforts include the Michigan EHR Health Information Exchange Initiative to improve healthcare professionals' appropriate use of Electronic Health Records; Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion education for faculty, trainees and member institutions; and an annual Michigan Summit on Quality Improvement, Patient Safety & High Value Care.
