Description
The Samaritas Smart Glasses initiative is a partnership between Samaritas and Grand Rapids-based Care Resources PACE to help CNAs and in-home caregivers help people with dementia and individuals in long-term care. The Smart Glasses are worn by the caregiver and help the responders see what the caregiver is seeing in real-time. Care Resources is training social workers, licensed nurses, PTs and OTs to be virtual-smart glasses responders. The initiative is a way to help address the professional caregiver staffing shortage and, with its use by CNAs in Samaritas' long-term care facility, is a way for CNAs to better care for their patients.
