Description
Students learn college level medical terminology and practice clinical skills in the on-site patient care lab. Students may also participate in work-based learning at local health care facilities and community-based agencies based on availability. Basic Life Support (BLS)/First Aid certification may be earned as well as Certified Nurse Assistant, Medical Assistant, and EKG Technician credentials. English, fourth-year math, and college credit are available. Related careers include, but are not limited to, athletic trainer, medical assistant, nurse, pharmacist, physician assistant, and surgical technologist.
