Description
GVSU's Allied Health Sciences Program offers a pathway for students starting from high school. Through their Direct Credit Partnerships with CTEs and high school programs, students can gain up to six credits through their education with GV. The Direct Credit Partnership also involves associate degrees with Northwestern Michigan College and North Central Michigan College, where students can transfer to GV after completing their associate degrees. GVSU's Allied Health Program engages with the instructors and students starting from high school, to ensure the success of students and to provide appropriate guidance. Similarly, students who attend community colleges are enrolled at GV simultaneously and are assigned an advisor along with their community college advisors to ensure the students are supported along their journey. This allows the students to benefit from wrap-around services of Grand Valley University during their associate levels, exposure to graduate-level programs and faculty, and step-by-step guidance to reach their final goal. The program kicked off in January of 2023 and is now being expanded to other parts of Michigan.
