Description
The Colleague Care Program at Trinity Health provides support, comfort, care and counseling for colleagues in high-volume, high-stress / high-demanding areas either in person, virtually, or by the telephone. The initative began during the COVID-19 pandemic but has continued since. An element of the Colleague Care Program includes either behavioral health clinicians or non-clinician colleagues providing in-person touch bases with at-risk colleagues to provide active listening and empathy around concerns the may be facing. The goal of the program is to support Trinity Health employees' mental health to increase retention at their facilities. Trinity Health sites in Southeast Michigan were some of the first to implement the Colleague Care Program but the initiative is now nationwide.
Michigan Health Council does not administer all of the programs in this database. Please see the "organizations involved" above to learn who you should contact for more information.
