Description
The Mission SMART (Spartan MD Acceptance Realization Track) is an early acceptance program that provides an early admission opportunity with enriched experiences for those interested in become physicians that serve high-need communities and marginalized populations. MSU College of Human Medicine has partner schools, and students during their junior year of undergrad can apply to this program as a representative of their college/university. The preferred qualities of students applying to MSUCHM through Mission SMART are those who are first-generation college students, graduated from a low-income high school, are eligible for need-based grants, want to practice in a high-need medical specialty area, and/or hold Michigan residency. The purpose of the program is to increase admission to (underserved) students who will treat underserved populations and communities.
Michigan Health Council does not administer all of the programs in this database. Please see the "organizations involved" above to learn who you should contact for more information.
