Description
Trinity Health St. Joseph Mercy Oakland has deployed two autonomous robots to improve patient care and to support clinical care by reduce time that nurses are spending running errands. The robots, called Moxi, can autonomously retrieve and deliver patient supplies, personal care items, equipment, blood and blood products, and medications to clinical teams. Using Moxi has allowed nurses to spend more time on their unit and spend more time taking care of patients. Moxi was brought in the Trinity Health location to decrease the extent of the staffing shortage during the COVID-19 pandemic.
