Description

MSU's School of Nursing recently received a grant from NIH to increase the number of nurses and medical doctors from Michigan's underrepresented communities trained in substance use disorders (SUD). The areas of focus for the program are to refine and deliver inter-professional stigma-reducing addiction curriculum for students and to recruit students who are engaged in training to participate in inter-professional research collaborations. The hope is to create a pipeline of leaders from underrepresented and disadvantaged backgrounds in areas of SUD and addiction medicine.
