Description
The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (Mi-LEO) is offering the Michigan Achievement Skills Scholarship to increase the number of recent Michigan high school graduates working in high-demand industries. Students can receive up to $4,000 over two years to attend an eligible career training program in the state. To apply for the scholarship program, they must complete the Michigan Achievement Skills Scholarship applicastion and enroll in an eligible career training program. Although the scholarship program is not specific to healthcare occupations, a vast majority of the qualifying career training programs are related to healthcare. The scholarship program has $10 million in funding from the 2023-2024 state budget.
