Description
Basic health-related CTE courses at Saginaw Career Complex's Career Opportunities Center include Medical Careers, Nursing Occupations and Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine. High school juniors who completed Medical Careers or Nursing Occupations can take Medical Academy, which is more advanced, allows students to work at Covenant HealthCare and connects them with industry mentors. High school juniors who are enrolled in the Nursing Occupations program may be recommended for Nursing Academy, which is a early/middle college experience. Similarly, high school juniors who are enrolled in the Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine program may be recommended for Physical Therapist Assistant Academy, which another early/middle college experience.
