Description

The Health Careers Pipeline Program (HCPP) is offered by the Mid-Central AHEC Regional Center. It a 9-week program for high school students to introduce and empower them to pursue careers in the health professions. High school students, who must be living in an underserved area, are paired with 4-12 undergraduate mentors from CMU College of Medicine. The program exposes them to mentorship, health and wellness education, and a support system for their journey into post-secondary education. Ultimately, the purpose of HCPP is to turn high school participants into a homegrown workforce of diverse health care professionals.
