Grand Valley State University requested $2,799,987 to implement "Academic/Practice Partnerships in Rural Michigan: Educating Nurse Practitioner Students for Primary and Mental Health Care Using Co-Design and Reciprocity." This initiative is intended to transform the workforce by targeting needed areas, combatting mental health issues, and using technology/telehealth to deliver primary care in rural and underserved populations. 15 students from rural/underserved populations will be recruited and provided funding until graduation as Doctors of Nursing Practice (DNPs).
