We Care Physician Wellness Program

The We Care Physician Wellness Program is an initiative at Henry Ford Hospital. The goals are to assist physicians and physicians in training to optimize healthy coping strategies and to find a good work-balance, so they are better equipped to take care of their patients. The program has a four-step approach to maintaining physician wellness, which includes 1) evaluating a physician's distress on multiple levels through self-evaluation, 2) access to Henry Ford Health System's employee wellness programs, 3) access to Henry Ford's employee assistance program and 4) studying and improving the outcomes of their programs and interventions.
