Below, we’ve compiled a number of free resources intended to support health care professionals and members of the community during this time, as well as opportunities to volunteer. Tools for Healthcare Worker Support and Well-Being

ACP Michigan: Resource Helps Clinicians, Patients & Caregivers Focus on What Matters Most

A resource has been created to help clinicians and their patients tailor health care to what matters most to each person. Patient Priorities Care allows clinicians and patients to use materials found online to focus all decision making on the health priorities of the patient. Learn more here.

Supporting First Responders During COVID-19

Michigan Department of Health and Human Services put together a kit to provide resources to help preserve your own resilience and mental health, as well as that of your family. Additionally, it strives to highlight areas you can monitor for yourself and your peers during this crisis, in order to seek help early in coping with the unique stress you experience. Many first responders are experiencing increased levels of depression, anxiety, insomnia and stress. You are not alone in these feelings, and there are resources to help you get through them. COVID-19 Training Resources

Training related to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is available through the TRAIN Learning Network, a national learning network that aggregates training opportunities for public health, healthcare, and preparedness professionals from thousands of training providers. This includes training from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization, European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, and other organizations. Access training on:

Discounts & Offers for Healthcare Professionals During COVID-19

American Hospital Association (AHA) has provided the following list of discounts and offers available to health care professionals as they heroically fight COVID-19 on behalf of their patients and communities. Assistance for Nurses

Nurses House provides short term grants to nurses who are unable to work due to medical crisis. Assistance provided helps cover basic needs such as rent or mortgage payments or medical expenses.

In response to the COVID-19 crisis Nurses House will be expediting all grant applications from RNs and LPNs who are ill with COVID-19, caring for a family member with COVID-19, or are under employer mandated quarantine due to COVID-19. This will be in effect through July 31, 2020.
