Description
The Training in Policy Studies (TIPS) program is run by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to teach osteopathic residents and fellows about current health care policy issues and to facilitate leadership opportunities for the selected participants. 10 participants attend eight sessions over the year-long program about topics such as physician payment models and the opioid epidemic. They have opportunities to draft policy briefs and white papers and are invited to present their own policy project report at an AOA meeting or conference. The purpose of TIPS is to give osteopathic physicians the skills they need to formulate and implement health policy at local, state and national levels to increase access to affordable, quality health care.
Michigan Health Council does not administer all of the programs in this database. Please see the "organizations involved" above to learn who you should contact for more information.
