Description
The Practical Experience Pathway is a process for uncertified anesthesia technologists and technicians to become eligible to take the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT)'s National Certification Exam. Candidates for the Practical Experience Pathway must have at least 5 years of work experience, complete Anatomy and Physiology 1 & 2 and General Chemistry with at least a "C" grade, and complete a minimum of 40 continuing education credits / coursework in order to take the National Certification Exam. The Practical Experience Pathway was created in response to the shortage of credentialed anesthesia technology professionals.
