Description
The Educational Loan Repayment for Health Professionals (ELRPHP) program was established by the CDC to incentivize more highly qualified and diverse professionals to complete a fellowship at the CDC post-graduation. The CDC recognizes that graduates have a great debt burden and many normally cannot afford to participate in a fellowship or post-grad training. The CDC provides up to $50,000 per year in student loan repayment for individuals who are accepted into one of 5 CDC fellowship programs, which have two-year or three-year service agreements. The fellowship programs include: the Epidemic Intelligence Service, the Laboratory Leadership Service, the Public Health Informatics Fellowship, the Prevention Effectiveness Fellowship and the Future Leaders in Infections and Global Health Threats Fellowship.
Michigan Health Council does not administer all of the programs in this database. Please see the "organizations involved" above to learn who you should contact for more information.
