Description
The Big 10 Practice-Ready Nursing Initiative is a three-year grant-funded pilot led by University of Minnesota's School of Nursing and in partnership with University of Michigan's School of Nursing and Purdue University's School of Nursing. The goal of the initiative is to better prepare undergraduate senior nursing students for an increased caseload after graduation. Researchers are developing 5 learning modules designed for virtual reality (VR) simulation headsets so students can gain practice and confidence caring for more patients than they can during their clinicals. The initiative is funded by a $1.3M grant from the American Nurses Foundation Reimagining Nursing Initiative.
