Description
Back to Bedside is an initiative that is supported and funded by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). The initiative funds medical residents' and fellows' projects around increasing connection with their patients. The intent behind the initiative is to engage soon-to-be fully-practicing physicians in research and work around spending more time caring for patients - this increases meaning in work which can prevent burnout and improve wellbeing. Since the beginning of Back to Bedside, more than 80 projects have been funded and nearly 200 residents and fellows have contributed to those projects.
Michigan Health Council does not administer all of the programs in this database. Please see the "organizations involved" above to learn who you should contact for more information.
