Description
The American Optometry Association (AOA) Leadership Institute is a yearly 12-month program that aims to develop emerging leaders for optometry and the AOA. The AOA Leadership Institute includes virtual education sessions, in-person education sessions at the annual optometry conference, and online assessments/assignments. Ideal participants for the AOA Leadership Institute include those who are early on in their practice careers and who are from diverse demographics. Examples of professional development education include public speaking and negotiation skills. Funding for the AOA Leadership Institute comes from Johnson & Johnson Vision, EssilorLuxottica and AOA Visionary Supporters.
