Description
American Medical Women's Association (AMWA) EVOLVE is a certificate program in leadership essentials for women who are completing their medical residencies. It is an eight-month program, where participants complete a monthly self-guided module and attend a 90-minute small group session to discuss and apply the module's content to their practice. The purpose of AMWA EVOLVE is to train female residents how to manage biases commonly faced by women in medicine and how to find a better work/life balance. Some of the monthly modules include: "Facing Gender Bias, and Microaggressions" and "Becoming an Authentic Leader". After residents complete the certificate, they are required to become a small group leader for another cohort in the future.
Michigan Health Council does not administer all of the programs in this database. Please see the "organizations involved" above to learn who you should contact for more information.
