AAMC-Thalamus Collaboration

The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) entered into a collaboration with Thalamus, an interview management platform for GME programs to improve the transition to residency for medical students, medical schools and residency programs. Residency programs who use the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) - a platform that streamlines the residency application process - now have complimentary access to three Thalamus services, including an interview management platform, an interview schedule generator and a data analytics dashboard for program recruitment. AAMC and Thalamus note that their collaboration will increase transparency, be more equitable through holistic application review and consolidate the fragmented interview management process. Ultimately, the collaboration will reduce barriers to medical students when matching into a residency program.
