Description
The American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) Clinical Scene Investigator (CSI) Academy is an experiential nurse leadership and innovation training program that provides acute and critical care nurses with the skills and support to develop and implement solutions to improve patient, staff and fiscal outcomes at their respective hospitals. CSI Academy provides nurses with additional leadership skills through education, coaching and mentoring over a 12-month period. After leadership training, unit-based teams of nurses identify priority patient-care or professional problems and then develop and implement solutions to those problems. CSI Academy participants experience greater empowerment and satisfaction in their jobs from the program. As of March 2022 the total estimated fiscal impact of CSI Academy at CSI team hospitals was $84.2 million.
