Description
With planning grant funding from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Rural Health Network Development program and grant funding from the Superior Health Foundation, UPHCS developed the UPHCS Behavioral Health Network. There are three components to the UPHCS-BHN: (1) a committee of member hospitals to coordinate health system-based behavioral health services (2) a hub and spoke model for the development and implementation of services to directly provide and support behavioral health in the region (3) a collaborative of local stakeholders (including: health care providers, behavioral health service providers, public health agencies, and educators) to provide guidance and feedback to the committee and the hub as well as to identify service and training gaps and to work collaboratively to close those gaps by identifying and offering trainings to providers in the region.
