Description
The ECHO (Extension for Community Health Outcomes) Model is a case-based learning and tele-mentoring program. Each ECHO session includes a brief didactic presentation by a subject matter expert, a case presentation relating to the topic by a session participant, and an interactive case review. This evidence-based approach effectively disseminates best practices across diverse disciplines. The UPHCS Project ECHO is largely focused on providing continuing education credits and strengthening the capacity of local clinicians to treat mild and moderate behavioral health concerns covering topics like social media, trauma, and medication assisted treatment for substance use disorder.
