Description
The Jacobs Scholars Program Pre-Immersion Experience is for incoming freshmen direct-admit students enrolled in Jacob Scholars at Wayne State University. The pre-immersion experience is a week-long program that happens the week before the academic year starts. During the week, Jacobs Scholars learn university study skills, develop a peer learning community, socialize with their cohort, meet several faculty who are from underrepresented or disadvantaged groups and are introduced to WSU resources and on-campus activities. The goal of the program is to increase the success of the Jacobs Scholars nursing students from traditionally underrepresented communities to help them complete their degree program.
Michigan Health Council does not administer all of the programs in this database. Please see the "organizations involved" above to learn who you should contact for more information.
