Description
Hope Network Behavioral Health Services received a grant from SAMHSA to create the Hope Network Suicide Initiative. The Hope Network Suicide Initiative is training 5,596 professionals in the mental health care, primary care, emergency department, and related workforce in the Zero Suicide model and other mental health-related practices/activities by the end of the grant (in 2026).
As of November 2024, they have already trained 7000 people and they are adjusting their goals for 2026. The course is 1 day long and has already been several organizations and their employees.
Hope Network developed another training specifically for their healthcare workforce employees in clinical and direct care settings. The goal was to reach 325 people with this training by the end of grant, howeever they already passed that number as well and are in the process of udating these goals.
They are open to talking to other organizations to share their experience and know-how in delivering and implementing suicide prevention trainings.
