Description
The Recovery Training Institute is Detroit Recovery Project (DRP)'s center for education, training, certification programs, and apprenticeship. To help fill healthcare gaps in metropolitan Detroit, DRP received $1,000,000 per year, to train 150 Community Health Workers over three years through the Recovery Training Institute. Participants in the program will have access to an improved curriculum, field placements, and apprenticeships. In partnership with MiCHWA, CHW training Program seeks to train trusted community members to become CHWs as well as provide updated training for current CHWS. Since its inception 101 trainees complete the Community Health Worker Training Program.
