Description

CVS Health opened up a Workforce Innovation and Talent Center (WITC) at the Detroit headquarters of Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit to offer skills training, job placement, and community health services for the Detroit Metro community. One feature of the WITC is a mock pharmacy where students can train. In an effort to decrease the shortage of pharmacy workers in the area, CVS is offering a 6-week internship program to 20 Detroit high school students to teach them how to work in a pharmacy at WITC. Students get hands-on experience working in a retail pharmacy while serving patients in the community. The goal is to encourage the internship participants to ultimately go to pharmacy school and practice in Detroit.

Michigan Health Council does not administer all of the programs in this database. Please see the "organizations involved" above to learn who you should contact for more information.
