Description
The University of Michigan received funds to support 90 first-, second-, and third-year nurse anesthesia students as they train to enter practice in rural, MUA, and/or HPSA practice settings and to combat the opioid crisis. Students will receive didactic education and clinical experience related to acute and chronic pain management, regional anesthesia administration and management, opioid-sparing anesthetic techniques, and opioid-free anesthetic techniques. Students will be trained and encouraged to enter practice in rural, MUA, and/or HPSA practice settings and combat the opioid crisis.
