Training individuals to work in a healthcare profession; Training current healthcare professionals in SDOH, implicit bias, or on other subjects that will help professionals provide more culturally-competent and/or patient-centered care
The Day One Doula Collective’s goal is to improve maternal health outcomes for women of color in Kent County by training community-based doulas of color to support and educate women of color through the birth and postpartum period. The Collective is a partnership between Baxter Community Center, HealthConnect One and KConnect.
