PHP Web Developer

Work location: Remote

Employment basis: Full-time

Overview:

Michigan Health Council (MHC) is seeking a Web Developer to join our growing Information Technology team. This role is responsible for working with Web Development Manager to create cross-platform web applications through the use of HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, and other web technologies, as well as support these applications.

 

Below is a general outline of the key responsibilities and qualifications associated with a PHP Web Developer position:

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and integrate complex web applications

  • Provides post implementation support

  • Modify and enhance existing PHP and JavaScript coded pages and content

  • Evaluate deliverables and implement solutions in a timely manner

  • Work with version control software and deploy jobs to environments

  • Perform other projects or duties as assigned

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields or equivalent experience

  • 2 to 4 years of experience working with HTML, CSS, and other front end technologies

  • 2 to 4 years of experience working with dynamic web technologies (such as PHP & JavaScript)

  • Knowledge of version control systems

  • Knowledge of usability principles

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of HTML, and CSS

  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of Dynamic Web Technologies (PHP, Composer, GIT)

  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of JavaScript (and libraries, such as jQuery)

  • Excellent analytical ability

  • Is curious about technology and willing to learn

  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
